Bans

The Bans page lets you manage banned IP addresses and email addresses: a way to stop abusive or fraudulent booking attempts.

Getting there

  • Where: Settings → Bans.
  • Permission: bans:read. Without it, the Settings card is hidden and the route refuses access.

The bans table

Filter with the All, IP, and Email tabs (each shows a count). Each row shows Type (IP or EMAIL), Value, Reason (or Not provided), Status (active, expired, or inactive), and Created. An empty list shows No bans found.

Common tasks

Add a ban

  1. Select Add Ban.
  2. Choose a Type: IP Address or Email Address.
  3. Enter the Value (for example 192.168.1.1 or spam@example.com).
  4. Optionally add a Reason and an Expires date and time.
  5. Select Create Ban.

Edit or remove a ban

Use the edit icon to change a ban (its type can't be changed), or the delete icon to remove it: Are you sure you want to remove this ban? This action cannot be undone.

Tips

  • Set an Expires time for a temporary ban; leave it blank for an indefinite one.
  • A ban blocks bookings from that IP or email. It does not delete any existing customer record.
  • A ban also applies to someone who is already on a waitlist: when a seat frees up they are skipped and the next person is promoted instead. Their waitlist entry stays in place, so if the ban expires they keep their original spot in line.
