My work

My work puts a staff member's own working day on one screen: the time clock, the next shift and who else is on it, open shifts they can take, the rest of their shifts, and the hours recorded this pay period. Every signed-in admin has one; it shows only their own work.

Getting there

  • Sidebar path: Operations → My work. In the Elara Staff app, use the Work tab.
  • Permission: none. Everything on it is the viewer's own, plus open shifts, which are posted to the whole team.
  • Where you land: for someone without shifts:read, the dashboard opens on My work when the studio's time clock is on, they are on the clock, or they have a shift today. The staff app opens on Work in the same cases, for every role. Otherwise each keeps its usual first page.

What it shows

From top to bottom:

  1. Time clock, while the studio's time clock is on (or you are still on the clock after it was turned off). When you have a shift starting soon, the button names it, for example Clock in for 3:00 PM shift, Main, so clocking in is one tap. The location sits behind Change and a note behind Add note. Clock out confirms with the time you worked today. See Time clock.
  2. Next shift: when and where, your duty, and who else works at that location at the same time, by first name (for example With Ana, Ben). Only published shifts count, and nobody's notes or other details are shown.
  3. Open shifts for today and the next 13 days that you can take or ask for. The Work tab in the staff app shows how many are waiting. See Take an open shift.
  4. Upcoming shifts over the same two weeks. Select Can't work this on a shift of yours that has not started to ask for cover; it then shows Needs cover with Withdraw until someone takes it. Cover your manager posted for you shows Needs cover without Withdraw. Earlier opens past weeks, and Week view your shifts a week at a time.
  5. Hours this pay period: your entries in the pay period today falls in, under the studio's Payroll schedule, with the total in decimal hours, as on payroll. Each finished entry is marked Approved once payroll has approved its period, or Awaiting approval until then. Week view opens My hours. Studios without a time clock see this only when there are entries, such as ones a manager added.
  6. Request time off and Availability, the same self-service pages as under Shifts.

In the staff app

The Work tab replaces the earlier Clock tab, and My shifts, My time off and My availability moved from Account to links on Work. Old bookmarks still open the right page. Account keeps your profile, your Kiosk PIN and Sign out.
