Waivers

The Waivers page lets you create waivers as typed text or an uploaded PDF. Customers must sign every active waiver before they can book.

Getting there

  • Where: Settings → Waivers.
  • Permission: the waivers resource. The card requires waivers:read.

The waivers table

The table lists each waiver with Name, Title, Format (PDF link or Text), Status (an Active or Inactive badge), and Created. Row actions sit at the right-hand end of each row. An empty list shows No waivers found. Create your first waiver to get started.

Common tasks

Add a waiver

Select Add Waiver. You can type the waiver content as text or attach a PDF, give it a name and title, and save.

Activate or deactivate a waiver

Select the power icon on a row and confirm. Only Active waivers must be signed before booking. Both directions need the waivers:update permission.

Delete a waiver

Deleting removes the waiver permanently, so it is a deliberate second step rather than a one-click action:

  1. Deactivate the waiver first. The delete icon appears only on Inactive rows, and the server refuses to delete a waiver that is still active.
  2. Select the trash icon and confirm.

Deleting needs the waivers:delete permission.

A waiver that anyone has signed cannot be deleted. The confirmation tells you how many customers signed it and blocks the action, because those signatures are the record that each customer accepted the agreement and they must be retained. Leave the waiver deactivated instead: customers are not asked to sign it, and the signatures stay on file.

Tips

  • Customers are prompted to sign active waivers as part of booking. Staff can mark them signed manually with Force sign on the Attendance page (for example when a waiver was signed on paper).
  • Deactivating a waiver immediately stops it from being required for new bookings, and keeps every signature already collected.
  • Deleting is only ever available for a waiver nobody has signed, for example a duplicate or a typo created during setup.
