Brand settings
The Brand settings page holds your studio's core identity.
Getting there
- Where: Settings → Brand.
- Permission: the
brandsresource.
What you can set
- Brand Name: your studio's name, shown across the dashboard and customer-facing pages.
- Slug: the short URL-friendly identifier for your studio.
- Logo URL: a link to your logo image (
https://…). - Timezone: the timezone your schedules and reports use.
- Currency: the one currency your studio prices and charges in.
Currency
Every price you set uses this currency: products, membership plans, credit packs, gift cards, and fixed-amount discount codes. There is no per-item currency to pick.
Once you take a payment account live, the currency is set from that account (the currency your Stripe account settles in, or your Square location's) and the field becomes read-only. To change it, change it on the payment account, or take the connection off live first.
Changing the currency relabels prices, it does not convert them. A 20.00 price stays 20.00 and only its denomination changes, so reprice your catalogue afterwards if that is not what you meant.
Existing rows do not all follow the new setting at once:
- Products and fixed-amount discount codes move to the new currency the next time you save them, so editing one is how you bring it across.
- Gift cards keep the currency they were issued in. An outstanding card is money you already owe someone, and its balance is not restated because you changed a setting.
- Membership plans and credit packs are priced in your brand currency when you create them, and there is no way to change a plan's currency afterwards. Existing memberships continue billing against it. To sell a plan in the new currency, create a new plan and deactivate the old one once its members have moved over.
Email sending
The sender name defaults to your brand name. Leave the sender address blank to use the platform sender. To use an address on your own domain:
- Enter the full sender address.
- Under Sender domain verification, add the exact domain after the
@. - Add every displayed DNS record with your DNS provider. The Sauna ownership TXT record proves this brand controls the domain. The remaining records let the email provider sign outgoing messages.
- Select Check now after DNS changes have propagated.
- Save the sender address after the domain status is verified.
Verification is exact. Verifying example.com does not verify mail.example.com, and one brand cannot inherit another brand's verification. Sauna CRM rechecks ownership and provider status every week. If a record is removed or verification expires, outgoing mail always falls back to the platform sender. The rollout flag changes only the verification UI and never authorizes an unverified sender address.
Tips
- The Brand Name and Logo also appear on the sign-in screen and customer emails.
- Getting the Timezone right matters, it affects how session times and report periods are calculated.
- For customer-facing colours and logo, see Design settings.
